Please some one tell me that " is there a way to use Google or anyother free email service as a mail server? I mean can I use google or other service as a smtp?

Your hosting account comes with a mail server but here are the settings for phpBB3. They should be the same for anything else.

you can use gooogle as your mail server. by signing up here:

http://google.com/a/

by signing up and completeing the steps, google will then act as your mail server.

there is a great tutorial on this from one of the podcast's i subscribe to:

You may also use x10's SMTP

server: localhost
Login : Your cpanel username
password : Your Cpanel password

HI Friends!

Thanks 4 replies! I wanted to use google apps! I am trying to configure my MX Entries in cpanel. But always google says,

"It looks like your domain is configured incorrectly"

Please tell me how to change MX from my cpanel to google apps!

Note: I used : cpanel >> MX Entry Maintenance >> ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM to the domain name MX. >> THEN CPANEL AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED TO;


1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

But google says - It looks like your domain is configured incorrectly!

Plaese help me to fix this problem. EXPECT YOUR SUPPORT

umm. did you follow the directions for cPanel?

post a screenshot of what the MX records section of cPanel looks like.
