What is a fair amount of credits for a text link for 3 months on your site?
What do you guys and gals think would be fair for these terms?
- Simple text link to my blog or blog article
- Must be up for at least 3 months

Depends on if they are on all pages or just one page.
All pages I'd ask for 300c.
One page I'd ask for 150c.

it also depends on how much traffic the site gets, the more traffic, the higher the price... and how many ads are already on, the more ads there are the less likely yours will be clicked

Yeah traffic can affect the price in a big way, there would be no point paying 150 credits to put a link on a site that gets no visitors right? I could post some accurate prices if you were to post a copy of your Awstats here.

Perhaps you should just try to think of a realistic dollar amount that you think would be fair and then convert that to points.
And yes, I do agree that it would be better to do this on a case-by-case basis depending on the popularity of the site and the potential for clicks.

Re: What is a fair amount of credits for a text link for 3 months on your site?
For reference, here is a USD to Credits conversion. This was made by DarkDragonLord. I did not make this; I am simply copy and pasting.
PayPal = x10Hosting Credits
25$ = 23,000c
15$ = 15,000c
10$ = 13,000c
5$ = 7,000c
2$ = 3,500c
1$ = 1,750c

Re: What is a fair amount of credits for a text link for 3 months on your site?
Depends on how many times you want the link to show up, how big you want it, where you expect it to be on the page...all that stuff. If you want a "Hey, check out this guys blog." thing on the page, it would cost more than if you just wanted someone to sneak it in to their footer or something.
I would say that if the site gets good traffic, and they provide you with a "hey, look at this" kind of spot, it would be fair to pay them 300 credits to put the link on their home page for 3 months. If they put it on some abstract page, then it might be more fair to bump that down to 200. If the site gets very little traffic, 150.

Why not use a sort of PTC system? say 5/10 credits per person that visits the site, (use php to log the visitors)
