There are many ways to earn credits ( some have been disabled until further notice - like x10 offers ) but you can :

1. Post / Repond to posts
2. Offer services in Marketplace
3. Have someone kindly donate to you.

Take a look at some of the threads there.

Some offer to do a website, graphic, template, etc for a set amount of credits, or someone is looking for someone to do that. If you are able to do a certain skill, offer it for a reasonable price, and see if anyone takes the offer.

No you can't earn credits by placing ads in your site. Instead you can earn money by logging in the forums. Every login you make each day gives you credits.

Here's my guide :-
1) Post at least 6 times a day.
2) Rep people and hope they rep you back.
3) Complete people's offers.
4) Offer people services for credits.
5) Post tutorials on my site using the link in my sig .
