Question about the domain offer

One day in the future, I hope to have enough credits to get awarded a domain, but I have a few questions about it.

1. What TLDs do you get to choose from?

2. Does the domain only belong to you for a limited amount of time (e.g 1 year) or do you get to keep if as long as you want it/your site is up?

That's all for now, I'll hit you up again if I come up with any more questions.

Re: Question about the domain offer

I'm not sure but i believe you get 1 year free but then you have to pay the renewal fee of like 8.99$ a year or something around or if you have enough credits you can get another year again. that I'm not sure maybe Corey or an admin will be able to answer more throughly.

And i think you get to choose from .com .net .org .info again maybe an admin has a list of them all.

Re: Question about the domain offer

The domain name is registered to you for 1 year, but after the subscription you must pay the registration fee. I'm not sure how much it is though. And yes, an admin such as Corey would be able to answer your question in more detail.

Oh so that sort of defeats the point of getting a domain through here because you cant afford it or aren't old enough for a credit/debit + card.

Re: Question about the domain offer

If I recall correctly, the TLDs are .com, .net and .org
They are registered for one year - and you can request the domain be "pushed" to you at anytime to have total control over it.
Otherwise, its operated by Corey, and after a year, you can use your credits to re-register the name for another year.

If you don't have enough credits to renew it and you don't want to pay money, could you just have it shut down? I don't want to think I'm getting something but then get obliged to pay money I wasn't expecting to pay.

Yes. You are not obligated to continue the domain. Its just like if you purchased it yourself. If you don't want it, it will be released back into the net for someone else to use.

You don't have to use x10hosting if you have a domain name that you purchased or won through x10. You can have your domain pointed wherever you feel like.
