Poll for IRC
Hello guys, I suggested that X10hosting set up an IRC server and channel for live support....Corey said that a poll is in order, So guys if you think an IRC channel is needed and will be helpful and will help the site grow, you can poll yes or if you think it is a waste of time and resources you can poll no.... 
For those of you who don't know what IRC is, take a look

I think it would take people away from the forums. Thus any help given is not avalible to others to read unless they are in the chat there and then. Also no advertising would be seen, unless it was text bassed.

I still believe we should have the IRC, but now that DT mentioned it, I'm not sure why.

I don't think it would distract / take away from the forums. Not all the people would rush to the IRC channel ( or IRC server if we had a full IRCd.
I have done pretty much all of IRC ( user, ChanOp and IRCop ) and still spend time on forums and websites. IRC is more a chatroom than a place to get detailed answers ( like many of users on here look for )
IRC could be good for quick responses, or to just chit-chat, which doesn't take up space on the forum.
