What FTP client are you using?
Make sure you've the option "Multiple connections" disabled. This will create a lot of multiple connections, which will make the firewall temporary block your IP Address.

Maybe I worded it wrong.
I can't use the backup feature of cpanel because whenever I use the option to restore directory and I choose the proper file, it seems to work then after 5 minutes, my window displays that the server was reset while I was connecting.
Edit:
also I have a memory issue message similar to randombum.
Is it possible that I need to reapply for intermediate php or ask for advanced to solve the problem?

For the backup, I think the firewall is killing off the process because it's using too much CPUTime.

For the PHP error, is it on your main sub-domain or another domain?

I could use the restore directory feature before without a problem.
