Hi, just signed up.

Hopefully I will get email up and running and then move on to creating my own (really interesting) pages.

First question. What does the server load value relate to in my account summary.

Server load is referring to how loaded the server is, mainly CPU power. The servers have Quad Core Xeon processors, so it can take quite a bit to make them slow down. RAM is usually not an issue though, even though the servers don't seem to use a swap file. A good CPU load for the servers is around 1-2, and they'll run pretty quick even into the red.

Don't forget, if you want to set up a forum or the like, upgrade to Intermediate PHP. This will give you the least amount of troubles.
