I like it like that. (almost)All web templates have the menu bar on the left side, you never see them on the right. Good works looks great.

eh i like it, but kinda too simple, mix the bg color with a slightly darker color, then gradient the very back up to down, it 'adds some more focus' to the template as a whole, other than that i like it.

whats the records box for? like statistics?

i think that box may be too small for practical use unless you get some small fonts..

but otherwise it is a great layout!
could use a bit more brightening IMO
