360 unplayable disc error.
ok, so my box out of nowhere wont play anymore discs. no games, dvds, music, nothing... all it says is UNPLAYBLE DISC.
can anyone give me an idea as to why this happened all of a sudden????

Have you tried to flash your xbox 360? If so, that can cause a problem!

Flash means that you put a firmware onto your xbox 360 dvd drive, which lets you play burnt games!

Might it be possible your Xbox's DVD/CD drive is shot? If you haven't modded it or even if you updated it a while ago and that didn't fix the problem, i'd say that might be the cause other than some dust bunnies screwing it up.

You're going to have to call Microsoft. It sounds like your DVD drive died.
If your 360 is under warranty then you can get it fixed free, otherwise, it'll cost 100 bucks for a full year of coverage.
The number to call is 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

Contact microsoft, basically if you have an errors just contact them straight away, they always help me out :D

Same thing happened to my xbox (the original). I called and they told me to get a disc cleaner. The problem is, xboxes aren't compatible with ANY disc cleaners. They wouldn't replace it even though I didn't even own it for a year. Hence why I never bought a 360. |

try cleaning your x360 dvd laser lens
by doing this :
eject the dvd tray
place your palm under the DVD tray
now, blow using your mouth to the inside of DVD rom.
just make sure you not spit any saliva.
its work for my x360  |
