Mark your calendars for Feb. 24th because if you are in the market for a Slim PS2 for cheap, well then that day will be the day! An advanced Target ad for the week beginning February 24 lists a base slimline PlayStation 2 console for $99. It’s unknown if the price reduction will be exclusive to Target stores or if it is retail wide.
Retailers usually don’t place temporary sales on hardware, so we’re hoping for the latter. Either way, $99 PS2 at Target on February 24. Better mark your calendars if you still have yet to pick up a PS2.

They're still making them? Lol. Interesting, you'd think they would stop since they have the PS3 and the PSP Slim, and since they are stopping production on the PSP phat's.

Of course they still make these.. there's a huge market available of people who don't own one, and simply cannot afford a $400+ console for children to destroy.

The new machines are for serious gamers/family(Wii)

I might pick one up as a backup/replacment, but white?!? everything else I own is black, will look waayy out of place.

maybe Sony will soon drop their price on the PS3... it would be nice if they did! More people would actually buy more! One can only hope & wait!!!

Also does anyone know how to mod a PS2??
And how much does modding cost in Mumbai, india???

Of course they still make them...they still sell a few Gameboy SP and Nintendo DS has been out for a long while now...They still sell Xbox and it has been a long while sine the Xbox360 has been out.

Is everyone behind on this?!?! Gamestop has had these at $99 for over 4-5 months now! xS I know not many of you are into gaming as much as I am, but still...this is very old news. Sorry for getting so mad, it is just that I am having a bad day today...
