FIFA Football, also known as FIFA Soccer or FIFA in some countries, is a series of football (soccer) video games, released annually by Electronic Arts under the EA Sports label. While there was no major competition when EA released the first titles in their Madden NFL and NHL series, soccer video games such as Sensible Soccer, Kick Off and Matchday Soccer had been developed since the late eighties and were already competitive in the games market when EA announced a soccer game as their next addition to the EA Sports label.
 When the series began in late 1993 it was notable for being the first to have an official licence from FIFA. The latest installments in the series contain many exclusively-licenced leagues and teams from around the world, including the English Premier League and Football League, Italian Serie A, Spanish Primera Liga, the Australian A-League and US Major League Soccer, allowing the use of real leagues, clubs, and player names and likenesses within the games.

PES

Pro Evolution Soccer (known in Japan, Korea, and formerly in the Americas as Winning Eleven and known colloquially in Europe as Pro Evo or PES) is a football (soccer) video game series developed by Konami (KCET). It is very popular in Europe [1]. Partially as a result of EA Sports' affinity to purchasing exclusive rights for their FIFA series, Pro Evolution Soccer games have historically lacked the sheer volume of licenses present in EA's offerings, with the most notable absences being the English Premier League, and more recently, the German Bundesliga.

Basically, the 09 version of each game has just been released, i've gone to a couple of stores with the game in it, and i think to myself, which is better, the graphics on both are amazing, but the controls on fifa seem more easy to use. Looking at the line's in the stores i just couldn't not ask you guys, which do you think is better fifa series or pes series?

I myself have played fifa for my life :P. Since 2004 to be honest, i bought every version apart from last year, but this year im just getting the cash to buy it.

That;s a stupid question. Obviously Fifa kicks ass. Have been playing Fifa since Fifa 98!

But to be honest, when I have overseas to my families house for holidays in the Middle East, they have PES. Pro evolution is really popular in Middle East and the main reason is because Pro evolution has middle eastern teams which is totally composite to Fifa.

But I still like FIFA. Best game ever!

I play Fifa more than Pro Evo, and I prefere fifa though the recent pro has been quite good.
