Best graphic card?
Hey guys. Since I am buying new system I want to know what is the best graphics card. The card has to be around the 100-150 dollar mark! Please tell me what you think is best! I had the 9600gt in mind!

Re: Best graphic card?
I can never really afford to buy the lastest graphics cards but when I can I always by the x600GT series, they seem to be affordable and quite good at the same time.

Re: Best graphic card?
Pretty nice card, I'm planning to go for that or something around that spec (and price) when I upgrade my graphics card later this year. Provided it's not an ATI card, you can't go far wrong .

Re: Best graphic card?
8800GT will out perform a 9600GT (look up the stats and compare it yourself).
The 8800GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra series are still the best cards around. If you don't have the dough yet, then wait for a sale! It's definitely worth the wait
Just make sure you pay attention to things like clock speed, stream processors, etc. Plenty of cards advertise 512 MB to 1 GB of RAMDAC but it won't mean anything if the clock speed is slow!

Re: Best graphic card?
I've heard that the Nvidia drivers for Vista aren't that great yet, so if you use Vista, be warned. I have an ATi 3450 in my computer at the moment (it cost me 5370 yen, or NZ$67).

Re: Best graphic card?
I use nVidia video cards on Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and a few months ago nVidia recently released some very good drivers. Before, they had ok drivers but every now and again in a game the driver would die and cause Vista to have to restart it. Now, my driver doens't die which means no random freezes because of that in game now

Re: Best graphic card?
I have an ATI HD3870 - and its excellent! I dont think you'll be disapointed with that card, but I think it'll be at the top end of your budget. Drivers are very good, work fine with 32 and 64bit Vista.
