What should I do now?

This is the way: My modem HAS a router function. But my ISP has set it to bridge and they denies to set it to router. There is a manual how to login on my modem and change it my self and save 400 sek (~59$). But if they notice this because we don't own the modem I have broken the TOS and I need to pay 1500 sek (~222$). I don't want to pay either of them so what do you suggest to do? I can't change ISP because that would cost even more because when I haven't got any internet I still need to pay my ISP 3 more months. So basicly I need to have 2 ISPs in 3 months. I need the router function because I want my xbox 360 and my pc online at the same time.

Re: What should I do now?

Can't you just buy your own really cheap router and plug the modem into that?? I don't understand where you say 'I need 2 ISPs in 3 months' - whats that mean??

Re: What should I do now?

I need to have 2 isps for 3 month if I change the ISP. And no, I don't want to spend 60 dollars on a router when I already have 1. Here is the proof:
it is from my modems login page.

Oh right - I was just thinking, it's unlikely they are going to come round to your house and check that it is still just on bridge. they're not going to know if you change it to router will they?

You sure they are definitely saying your not allowed it set as the router setting and not just saying that they can't be bothered to do it and so you have to.

Re: What should I do now?

They can change it from their HQ... And probably they can see what I'm doing. I have called them repeatly and they just refuses to change it and say that it isn't a router. Apparently, the login page says "ADSL router". And even the manufacturer site says it has an built-in router.

Re: What should I do now?

Well then if you change it they'll see it is a router as well then won't they - it doesn't affect them in any way so I can't see why you can't do it.
