Best Anti-Virus and Internet Security
I am looking to buy anew Internet Security Suite. Money is not an option seeing my dad is buying it for me. Can anyone reccomend some good ones and their features?
Thanks.

Re: Best Anti-Virus and Internet Security
I still don't encounter any problems with free antivirus and antispyware programs (AVG + Windows Defender), but I guess if you want some good protection, try Norton 360. Has everything: antivirus, antispy, custom firewall, and tons more. They rebuilt the GUI, rather than adding on to the 200x editions of Norton, so it hogs a lot less resources than its predecessors.

Re: Best Anti-Virus and Internet Security
i stay as far away from Norton as i can. its way to controlling and most of the installations iv had to fix/uninstall had quarentined themselfs. id go with a pro version of Avast on with Xoftspy as the spyware killer, if i was going to install a antivirus on my pc. i currently only use them if i have a problem and am to lazy to use hijackthis.

Re: Best Anti-Virus and Internet Security
I can't say that i'm particularly well versed, but Norton has always worked fine for me. I'm running the 2006 Internet Security version atm.
Since I installed it in early 2004, only had a virus once, which was my fault really for trusting P2P programs. And its blocked numerus attacks and viruses that i've known about, and countless more that I didn't.
Plus, it automatically blocked some of the annoying advertising URLs; so i don't often have to view all the adverts on sites.
I'd say you couldn't go wrong getting their latest Norton 360 package.

Re: Best Anti-Virus and Internet Security
I have never had a problem with Nortons. I run Security Suite 2007 edition and it runs completly fine for me.
Before that we had McAfee 2007 but we switched as my dad was getting fed up of McAfee getting in the way of everything.
I have never had a virus whilst running Nortons and it blocks everything I want it too, so i would say that you couldnt go far wrong with Nortons.
