I think they are saying, in general, the company that owns MapleStory does not want people having private servers.

.. Private becuase it's not a public thing, it's illegal. MapleStory will most likly not allow you to do this.

you know i don't think it's illegal. I mean like cs, there are other servers not hosted by the company but by regular people like us. As lng as the private server owner is not trying to make money off it it, im pretty sure it's ok to run a private server.
