Re: Need a free domain?
According to the link, 1&1 offers a free *.biz domain for the first year.
Be aware of this possible consequence: While some domain registrars might have a promotional fire sale domain prices, it could possibly become a costly affair if you intend to keep the domain longer than a year.
I believe that 1&1 has maintained a consistently low prices on domain registering, but this is just a general warning that everyone should keep in mind when registering domains anyway.
Thanks for the share, sinogap!

Re: Need a free domain?
I hate these free offers that need a credit card, I think payment options should be optional until the free offer expires

Re: Need a free domain?
I have not yet tried them but wouldn't like to. What do they need the credit card for? confirmation or making sure you but the domain after the end of the year? I would really buy my own domain than using such which is doubtful. I really agree with azntechguy

Re: Need a free domain?
Providing credit card information is usually required to prevent spam (which is really bad for a domain network) and to prove your identity and age otherwise you would probably to able to make a domain from different computers every year and the system just wouldn't work, don't you think.
